Digitally engaged small businesses could increase revenue by $350,000

In Deloitte’s Access Economies’ latest report, a survey of 500 small Australian business owners has found the majority only have a low level use of digital technology such as using an email address. Whereas those small businesses actively engaged in social media and online marketing, could potentially see an average annual revenue increase of $350,000 a year. The vast majority of respondents also attributed their revenue growth to reaching new markets and customers through digital technologies. The Google Engage program can help small businesses overcome the cost and knowledge barrier to new technologies by providing a number of free tools to engage in social media and set up a website.
