Sales have three different statuses: Quote, Order and Invoice.

You can enter customer Quotes in MYOB without affecting your accounts records. A Quote has no impact on inventory levels and can be changed to an Order or an Invoice when ready. It can also be deleted if your customer decides not to purchase.

A sales Order is used to record Orders placed by customers – sales that will occur some time in the future. Orders are not actual transactions that affect financials and inventory numbers. Customer payments can be made on Orders and you can record an Order as an Invoice if the customer completes the sale or delete it if the customer decides not to buy. Orders cannot be changed to Quotes once entered.
