REVIEWING AND EDITING PAYROLL CATEGORIES

You may need to create or amend Payroll Categories to meet individual business circumstances.

The Wages list includes all wage types that might be paid, including allowances and loadings.

To edit payroll categories:

  1. Go to the Payroll Command Centre
  2. Choose Payroll Categories
  3. Select the Wages tab
  4. Click the zoom arrow  of the appropriate Wage type
  5. Enter the relevant information
  6. Click the Employee button to select with a tick those Employees qualifying for this Wage category
  7. Click OK

The Superannuation category is used to calculate superannuation as either a percentage of wages or as a set amount.
To edit Superannuation categories:

  1. Go to the Payroll Command Centre
  2. Choose Payroll Categories
  3. Select the Superannuation tab
  4. Click the zoom arrow of the appropriate Superannuation type
  5. Enter the relevant information
  6. Exempt any non-applicable wages types (e.g. Holiday Leave Loading) from the 9% superannuation calculation by clicking the Exempt button and selecting with a tick the exempt Wage Categories
  7. Click OK
